FLOATING BALL VALVES

Floating Ball Valves are a type of quarter turn valves that utilizes a spherical ball with a central bore (full or reduced) to control the flow of fluids or gases through a piping system. The term “floating” refers to the fact that the ball is not fixed or anchored in place but instead is allowed to move slightly within the valve body under the pressure of the fluid. This design enables the ball to press tightly against the downstream seat, providing secure shutoff.

Due to their simple construction, Floating Ball Valves are widely used across industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, and chemical processing. They are best suited for low- to medium-pressure applications and provide effective bi-directional flow control.
