FPSO INDUSTRY

An FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) is a type of floating vessel used in offshore oil and gas production. It is equipped with processing equipment to handle and process hydrocarbons extracted from subsea wells. The FPSO typically has storage tanks for storing oil until it can be offloaded onto shuttle tankers or transported via pipelines to shore. Additionally, it usually has facilities for separating oil, gas, and water, as well as for treating and metering the extracted hydrocarbons.

FPSOs are employed in offshore fields where it is not feasible or economical to construct fixed production platforms. They offer flexibility in terms of location, as they can be moved to different sites as production demands change. FPSOs have become a popular choice in the offshore oil and gas industry due to their versatility, and ability to operate in a range of water depths and environmental conditions.

Merwede Valves offers a wide range of high quality valves which can be installed onboard of an FPSO. All materials supplied can be in accordance to EN, API, ASTM, ASME, ISO, JIS, AS, NORSOK, and other international standards.
